Thermal Management – Sarcon®

Are the metal clips shown clamping cases and sleeves available from Fujipoly?
Answer:
No! The clips are not available from Fujipoly.

Can your thermal material dissipate heat without being compressed?
Answer:
No! Sarcon Thermal management material will only perform when compressed between the heat source and the heat sink.

How much can Fujipoly® Gap Filler Pads be compressed?
Answer:
All currently available Fujipoly Gap filler Pads are compressible to 70% of their original thickness. Normal recommended compression is 30%.

Sarcon® Compression Force for GR materials is stated in Kgf/inch2. What is the formula that is used to convert Kgf/inch2 into PSI?
Answer:
Yes, the formula is Kgf/inch2 * 2.20462 = PSI

What is Fujipoly America’s UL file number?
Answer:
Fujipoly’s UL file number is E58126.

What type of adhesive is used for all products available with adhesive?
Answer:
The adhesive is a silicone base adhesive intended to hold the material in place until compressed. Complete details of the adhesive are available on a separate data sheet.


Zebra Connectors

How do you calculate a “slot dimension” in the connector holder?
Answer:
The volume of the slot should be equal to or slightly greater than the volume of the connector. Consider all tolerances when determining the max volume of the connector. E.g.; Connector H x W x L= Volume

What is Fujipoly America’s UL file number?
Answer:
Fujipoly’s UL file number is E58126.

What is the “Aspect Ratio” (height to width) for a Zebra® connector?
Answer:
A minimum aspect ratio of 1.5 to 1 is recommended. The aspect ration only applies to the Zebra itself and not the optional support material.


What is the compression set of a connector?
Answer:
Compression set for a plain Zebra (Silver, Carbon, or Low-Temp) is 10% to 15% of the compressed amount. Compression set for a supported Zebra is 30% to 40% of the compressed amount.

What is the current capacity for a single wire in a W connector?
Answer:
15mA is the current capacity for a single wire in a W Connector.

What is the recommended compression/deflection for a connector?
Answer:
The compression/deflection range for all connectors is 5% to 25%. (Series 8000 type is 8% to 20%) The recommended compression/deflection is normally 10% to 15%. Very low profile connections or very high profile connections should be verified with the factory before final selection is made.
